Florida Atty On Mc'ville Mall Watch

No, really. Personal injury lawyer Fred Zinober was sitting at his desk in Tampa, Fla., when he caught wind of that guy firing his rifle in the Rite-Aid parking lot in McKinleyville. Zinobar -- fist pounding the desk!! -- demanded to know, "Where Was Mall Security?"

The incident may have been 2,500 miles away from his Tampa digs, in a tiny strip mall in a small town in a rural county. And it may have happened at 6 a.m., long before the droves of shoppers arrived (note: this is no excuse, rifle man). But, dangit, Christmas was coming! Zinober kicked his PR machine into gear. Here's a nugget from the media release:

"While we should always be on our guard, we have to remember that the holidays are the most critical time when it comes to public safety," says Zinober, who practices premises liability and negligent security law along with personal injury cases.

"My hope is shopping centers will step up security patrols so these conflicts will be avoided," he says.

And if they don't, dangit, he'll be there to pick up the pieces.

Here's the PR:

Florida Personal Injury Lawyer: Where Was Mall Security?
As holiday season approaches, personal injury attorney Fred Zinober reminds public about parking lot safety.

(PRNewsChannel) / November 11, 2009 / Tampa, Fla. / With stores and malls expected to experience an increase in traffic nationwide, shoppers should remember to stay alert and safe in parking lots, says Tampa personal injury lawyer Fred Zinober.

Zinober's warning follows news reports of a man firing a rifle in a Humboldt County, Calif. store parking lot this week.

"While we should always be on our guard, we have to remember that the holidays are the most critical time when it comes to public safety," says Zinober, who practices premises liability and negligent security law along with personal injury cases.

"My hope is shopping centers will step up security patrols so these conflicts will be avoided," he says.

A Columbus School of Law graduate, Fred Zinober is licensed to practice several types of law in Florida and New Hampshire.
