Jerry Martien: Poetry and The Price of a Life

The Price of a Life tells the story of money in this region from dentalia shells to gold, and from lumber and paper dollars to the emerging weed economy. Martien’s poems, collected in Pieces in Place and a cd, The Road to Heaven, range from the Klamath to the Eel, and from the North Coast inland to the Great Basin. The reading begins at 7 p.m. and will be followed by open mic night hosted by Gayle and Michel.
