The Humboldt County Library's classic film series resumes with "The Lubitsch Touch" — classic films directed by the incomparable Ernst Lubitsch, whose "touch" signified style, subtlety, and wit. The series continues with the charming comedy Ninotchka: Three Soviet emissaries arrive in Paris to sell some jewelry for the government, but soft capitalist ways begin to corrupt them, so their stern and humorless superior, Comrade Nina Ivanovna, arrives to take over their mission. When she meets a charming playboy, her cold exterior thaws and east-west romance results; but soon major complications arise... Hosted by Charity Grella.
