The Redwood Jazz Alliance presents alto saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa and his highly acclaimed Bird Calls project. Mahanthappa was named 2015 alto saxophonist of the year by Downbeat Magazine and his "Bird Calls" album the album of the year. It also topped year-end polls from NPR, the Chicago Tribune, and several other publications.
