This nearly 80-year-old tradition plants lights on a radiant spruce at the end of Main Street. This beacon, which is visible for miles, heralds the Christmas season and the whole town turns out, along with the Booster Band, Chameleon Singers, 4-H, Scout Troops, etc. Then everyone gathers over free cookies and punch.
