I thought we all voted them out a few years ago because it was such a threat to all those who hold control in this city and county. I say, let them come. It is hard enough to get by on our low incomes. At least it will create jobs. If businesses would treat their customers in a right way, we would not need a separate loyalty card for your stores. We would come back because doing business with your store was a pleasure and not a necessity. I for one, would like to toss all those cards in the trash and go somewhere else where they don't need gimmicks to keep or win my business.

The only business I think Wal-Mart will hurt at this point are K-Mart and Target. Our local shops (some fine, others not so much) survived those two retailers by providing something they don't (be it items or service). Those that survived will continue to survive despite the presence of the cookie-cutter Wal-Mart. I've never actually stepped foot in a Wal-Mart, but I don't care if it comes. Its consumer base is nothing but mall shoppers, so more power to it.

WalMart might hurt Target? Silly me. I thought there was no up sides to this news.

You are all high as kites if you think Walmart is moving into Borders.

That was the last rumor I heard, but forgive me my tinfoil helmet doesn't work so well out here. You'll enjoy Walmart.

Anyone who believes in free enterprise shouldn't care if Wal-mart comes in because after all it doesn't matter how big or small you are isn't that discrimination. Quit hating on successful businesses. How about Pierson's charging on average thirty percent more for building materials. As a contractor I'll make the drive to Home Depot to get supplies because even after time and gas it's still cheaper. Let them come
