The 10th annual Inked Hearts Tattoo Expo at Blue Lake Casino hosted 35 tattoo artists and other vendors last Thursday through Sunday. Organizers Ted and Amy Marks brought in a familiar line up of tattoo artists, including Liz Cook, Lisa Hower, Tye Harris and Liz Venom, among others, as well as a good mix of new faces. See the slideshow below for highlights of the festivities.)

Michelle "DJ RunDat" Miller provided the in-house soundtrack during the event. Friday through Sunday also included the usual awards, and Sunday featured another family-friendly Bully Bowl Pageant with awards for bulldogs in six categories. This year, no Hottest Guy and Girl competitions were held, avoiding some of the post-event complaints about the judging from last year.

The Inked Hearts organizers teamed up with the Blue Lake Casino to offer live music concerts in the Blue Lake Pavilion (a large, covered tent) on Friday and Saturday evenings, promising that the shows would go on, "rain or shine." And indeed a large crowd showed up both nights, even during Saturday's sleet and snowstorm.
