In person once again after going virtual due to COVID-19, the Discovery Museum's annual fundraiser the Perilous Plunge had sponsored supporters in colorful costumes leaping into Humboldt Bay from the pier at the foot of F Street in Eureka. It began with a parade down F Street with musical accompaniment from the Marching Lumberjacks, who also serenaded the plunging participants.
