Upcoming Repairs Partially Preclude Access At Houda Point

Given the time of year, chances you're skipping down the cable "stairs" leading to the south side of Houda Point are about as good as scoring a solo session at Camel Rock on the rare days the wind turns north. But just in case, please note: the Humboldt North Coast Land Trust and the California Conservation Corps will be making repairs on that trail beginning December 7, 2010. Which is great, because right now, the journey down is far from user-friendly.

The trail will be closed for approximately one week while repairs are made to the cable steps.

The HNCLT and CCC will also repair the rock wall of the overlook, which the also be closed for the duration.

They appreciate your cooperation in staying off the trail and the overlook as these much-needed repairs are made.
