On the morning of 6/13/12, investigators with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit served a search warrant on the subject of a methamphetamine sales investigation, Jose Hector Godoy (AKA “Hector Godoy”).  The warrant was obtained after the POP Unit received information Godoy was selling methamphetamine from his residence on the 200 block of Huntoon Street, Eureka.

At about 9:18 AM, investigators observed Godoy leave his residence on foot.  Godoy was detained in a nearby alley and transported back to his residence.  During a subsequent search of Godoy’s residence, investigators located a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine and evidence of drug use and sales activity including a digital gram scale, unused drug packaging materials (small baggies), and a meth pipe.  Investigators also found small caliber handgun ammunition in Godoy’s bedroom, which as a convicted felon he is prohibiting from possessing.

Godoy (age 44) was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked for possession of a controlled substance and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.  Godoy later posted his $25,000.00 bail and was released.
