A fancy, feisty lot of mules and horses tore up the loamy dark track yesterday in Ferndale, to the delight of the hootin', wagerin', drinkin', beef-chewin', funnel-cake-inhalin', corndog-swillin' crowd that packed the grounds and stadium.
