Humboldt Roller Derby
Saplings coach Tone Cold says, "I’m normally a medical surgical nurse but in order to prepare for a possible surge of patients we transformed our unit into the designated respiratory unit for patients suspected of SARS-COV-2. I never would have imagined working during a pandemic so shortly into the start of my career but I feel grateful to have the opportunity to do the job that I wanted to do at a critical time like this. Be assured that we are working our hardest to be a prepared and safe place of recovery for our community members." — with Antonia Herchik.
While Humboldt Roller Derby league members may not be able to strut their stuff at the rink right now, they are still out in the community providing essential services in style.
