The city of Eureka announced Friday that its summer camps are returning. According to a post on the city’s community services blog and events page, the summer day camps — Camp Cooper and Camp Muni — will return July 6 and run through Aug. 7. The post notes that while the camps are back on, they will look a bit different this year. For instance, group sizes will be smaller to accommodate social distancing, campers and leaders will wear masks and temperature checks for campers will take place at the start of program each day.
The post states that both camps will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are for youth ages 5 to 12 years old. Camp Cooper applications are available now and will be accepted until June 12 and Camp Muni registration begins online June 1.
