It’s Memorial Day Weekend and the Kinetic Sculpture in Place is streaming right along. This holiday weekend, Humboldt's beloved Kinetic Grand Championship is still going for the glory, but carrying it out in a creative way. Naturally! (For more on this year's Kinetic Sculpture in Place go
here.)
Instead of racers making their merry way up, down, across and around Humboldt, this year teams have been busy creating videos of Kinetic challenges and sharing them online at
kineticgrandchampionship.com/livestream.
Tune in to see daring bathtub water crossings for the “Humboldt (not the) Bay Water Crossing,” eggs falling safely (or not) from 6 feet up in the “Deadman’s Egg Drop,” or witness teams transporting eggs 6 feet horizontally and 6 feet downward in “Ovo Madness ‘Mud’ Run.” In between videos of the challenges, enjoy documentaries about the event, music, commentary, talking puppets, special guests and general wackiness.
Don’t miss all the creative and hilarious feats of ingenuity as the racers make their way across the virtual terrain. Watch all the fun live (from 11:31 a.m. until whenever) here:
www.kineticgrandchampionship.com/livestream. And if you missed some of the day's events, check them out any time at the Kinetic Universe's YouTube channel:
