The Eureka Community Services District will launch a self-led scavenger hunt in Old Town and downtown Eureka starting Monday, July 20.

"We know there is a positive shift and an improved collective attitude in our community when we bring people together for a common goal, and since the pandemic has challenged us on so many fronts, we are excited to announce an opportunity to reunite, reconnect, and recover by simply visiting Old Town and Downtown for a playful adventure for all ages: a self-led Community Scavenger Hunt in the 'Heart of Eureka,'" a blog post from the Eureka Community Services blog reads. "

According to the post, participants will be visiting businesses, public art, historic building, hunting for answers to questions in a free booklet which will be available at participating businesses found on the blog post.

Completed booklets will be entered into a drawing to win prizes donated from local businesses. The scavenger hunt will also feature a social media photo contest for more prizes.
