National Weather Service Eureka has issued a Red Flag Warning for a small sliver of Humboldt county (as well as Del Norte, Siskiyou and Trinity counties) from noon to 10 p.m. today.

"An upper disturbance, coupled with increased instability and moisture, will lead to scattered thunderstorms across portions of Trinity and Siskiyou counties this afternoon and evening," the warning reads. "Lightning strikes are possible outside of storm cores. Given the dry vegetation, wildfire development potential will be enhanced."
