The National Weather Service map of potential heat risk coming this weekend.
Drink lots of water, stay in air-conditioned buildings and avoid going outside for long periods of time as the National Weather Service is forecasting a potential heat risk for the county on Friday and Saturday.
"Heat is on the way, but you can get prepared and #BeatTheHeat," a NWS Eureka Facebook post reads. "Heat-sensitive groups (e.g. elderly and very young) may need assistance to avoid heat-related illness. And as always, never, ever leave a child or pet in an enclosed automobile."
See if you are in a yellow area (low risk for those extremely sensitive to heat), an orange area (moderate risk) or red area (high risk) area below.
