Humboldt Waste Management Authority announced the Eureka Recycling Center's CRV Buyback service is reopening today with limited days of service and special hours exclusively for senior citizens and immunocompromised individuals.

According to a press release, the Eureka Recycling Center is now open Tuesday through Saturday,  9 a.m. until 4 p.m., with a special early hour from 8 a.m to 9 a.m. for seniors and immunocompromised individuals. Customers are required to arrive with CRV materials pre-sorted, wear face coverings and abide by the facility’s rules to maintain social distancing.

On Tuesday, September 1 st , as part of our phased approach to re-opening, Humboldt Waste Management Authority’s Eureka Recycling Center will resume CRV Buyback redemption services with limited days and hours of service.

The Eureka Recycling is open Tuesday thru Saturday. Seniors and immunocompromised individuals may drop off CRV and other recyclable materials from 8 am to 9 am. All other customers may visit the site 9 am until 4 pm.

As the only CRV redemption center reopening in Humboldt, we anticipate a significant demand for buyback services. Customers are required to arrive with CRV materials pre-sorted, wear face coverings and abide by the facility’s rules to maintain social distancing. Sanitizers will be available for customer use.

As a reminder, CalRecycle sets daily load limits of empty CRV beverage containers of 100 pounds each of aluminum and plastic containers (not to exceed 200 pounds total) and 1,000 pounds for glass per person. HWMA has completed site improvements to assist in traffic control and designated customer flow areas, ensure social distancing and implemented sanitary practices and minimal customer contact protocols to minimize the potential for viral spread while handling used beverage containers. These operational processes and policies prioritize the safety of our customers and

The Eureka Recycling Center is closed Sunday & Monday.
