Evacuation Shelter at Bear River Recreation Center

The Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria has set up the Bear River Recreation Center to provide shelter for those evacuating the wildfires.

Service will begin today and the shelter is located at 265 Keisner Road, Loleta. The release states that the shelter will have four separate areas for larger families, socially distanced singular units for up to 45 individuals and areas outdoors for families that would like to tent camp and areas to park their vehicles. Pets, however, are not allowed in the building.

The Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria will be providing hot and cold meals as well as providing cots, bedding, water, restrooms, showers, hand sanitizer, and masks. Masks will be required while indoors and social distancing must still be practiced. Drug and alcohol consumption is not allowed.
