Some Areas of Air Quality Improve, Others Remain Unhealthy

Coastal areas impacted by wildfire smoke will see improved air quality today and in the coming days with a chance of precipitaion helping things out later this week. 

Smoke from the Red Salmon and August Fires continues to create 'unhealthy' and 'very unhealthy' conditions for much of Eastern Humboldt and Trinity County with air quality advisories issued today for Orleans, Hoopa and Weitchpec, as well as Weaverville, Hayfork, Trinity Center and Ruth, Zenia-Kettenpom and Trinity Pines areas.

No air quality alerts have been issued today.
