Sheriff's Office Investigating Shooting Incident

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday on the 19500 block of State Highway 36.

Sheriff deputies responded to a report of shots fired during a disturbance.

An adult male was injured and was transported to a hospital before deputies arrived. the extent to his injuries and condition is still unknown.

According to their investigation, deputies learned that a civil dispute between six people had occurred at the property. No arrests have been made at this time however, all involved persons have been accounted for.

This case is still under investigation.

Shots fired investigation

On Sept. 16, 2020, at about 2:30 p.m

., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 19500 block of State Highway 36 for the report of a disturbance with shots fired and one person injured.

An adult male victim was transported to a local hospital prior to deputy arrival. The extent of injuries and victim’s condition are unknown to law enforcement at this time.

Upon arrival to the residence, deputies located and detained multiple involved persons. During their investigation, deputies learned that a civil dispute between six individuals had occurred at the property. During that dispute, shots were fired and one person was injured.

No arrests have been made at this time however, all involved persons have been accounted for. This case is still under investigation. More information will be released when available and appropriate.
