In a region besieged by wildfires, a number of local organizations have stepped up to help the already pressed American Red Cross to make sure those who had to evacuate are being taken care of, Lost Coast Outpost reports.
Whether it’s meals or connection to services, the Salvation Army Eureka, Cooperation Humboldt and a bevy of local volunteers are reaching out to those who had to leave so much behind as they fled fires in Trinity County, Siskiyou County and Oregon.
