A man who went missing near Manila Beach north of Eureka last night has been found safe this morning and reunited with friends and family.

Travis Privat and friends were having a bonfire down by the Manila Beach around 7 p.m. Saturday night. Privat walked a friend back to her car at the Montessori School around 1600 Peninsula Drive and then became lost on his way back to the bonfire.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the Coast Guard searched for him until about 11:30 p.m. before calling off the search until this morning when Privat was found.
