Up to 7 inches of snow is expected, mostly above 2,500 feet, in the interior areas of Humboldt County starting Thursday, prompting the Eureka office of the National Weather Service to issue a winter weather advisory that will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"Travel could be very difficult to impossible," the advisory states. "The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute."
In addition, the coast is set to be lashed by strong winds and heavy rain
Friday into Saturday, which will create hazardous marine conditions in waters across the North Coast, according to the NWS.
