Local DJ Pandemonium Jones has crafted a kinetic, beat-heavy mixtape that serves as an alternative soundtrack to Katsuhiro Otomo's iconic sci-fi anime Akira. When played together, the musical selections match the rhythms and themes of the film, creating unexpected juxtapositions of sights, sounds, and meanings. It's sort of like Dark Side of Oz for the rave generation, except the synchronicity is intentional. The Miniplex will host two free screenings and there will be TACOS!
