This workshop explores the history of incarceration as it regards The United States' one-size-fits-all solution for masking systemic inequalities and generational trauma. We will explore the extended reach of the Prison Industrial Complex's evolution from slavery, indigenous genocide, WWII, and recent immigration imprisonment, and the confinement of bodies from different shores.
