Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Changes to Town of Scotia

When: Tue., Oct. 27, 5 p.m. 2015

The changes taking place in the Town of Scotia as it readies the historic, former company town for its future of privately owned homes will be discussed at the Winema Theater on Oct. 27 by Frank Bacik, president of the corporation that is holding the town in its transition. Scotia has undergone major infrastructure changes as its homes were once heated and powered by a central source, and are now separately heated and metered. Going forward it will be a community services district. Bacik will talk about the challenges encountered so far and the next steps in store for the community's transition.
