After playing jazz standards, swing tunes, bossas, ballads and blues for several years, the band decided to use the name of a band that began playing jazz locally in the early eighties. The current configuration includes many of the players who were in the original Magenta. In addition to Rose, Saturday will include Francis Vanek on tenor sax, Jim Wilde on guitar, Michael Curran on drums and Damien Roomets on bass.
