Spring Garrett's line of repurposed necktie accessories, Rumpelsilkskin is the Arts! Arcata offering for SCRAP Humboldt in May. Spring creates from an unexpectedly rich palette comprised of repurposed neckties. Each piece begins as one or more selected neckties. Spring then incorporates vintage and/or salvaged fabric, old buttons, broken jewelry and vintage trims as accents to the pieces. Through reclaiming these out-of-favor neckties and forgotten bits of this and that, Spring hopes to inspire everyone to be creative with what we already have.
