Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Shorebird Workshop

When: Sun., April 1, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 2018

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for this new workshop series! Shorebird Workshop, Part I, will be led by Alexa DeJoannis, formerly of HSU’s Shorebird Ecology Lab. Still wondering which is a whimbrel and which a willet? The series of three workshops focuses on one of Humboldt Bay’s greatest treasures, our shorebirds! You may attend just one or as many as you like. Meet at 11 a.m. at the foot of I St (Klopp Lake) as the tide rises, bringing in dowitchers, curlews, godwits, willets, peeps, yellowlegs, and perhaps avocets.
