Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Sustainable Futures Speaker Series

When: Thu., April 7, 5:30-7 p.m. 2022

Shelly Covert, spokesperson for the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe, talks about the importance of raising the visibility of her tribe in a community, state and country that has no idea they still exist. She’ll also share some of the unique and creative projects she has founded that cultivate relationships and bring public education, and how they use art as a means to amplify the visibility of the Nisenan. The Sustainable Futures speaker series at Cal Poly Humboldt stimulates interdisciplinary collaboration around issues related to energy, the environment, and society.
