Redwood National and State Parks is seeking new volunteers-in-parks (VIPs). After a brief discussion of volunteer duties at the visitor centers, hike an easy trail to observe the other half of volunteering. Wear sturdy footwear, dress in layers and bring water/food. Prospective volunteers who live at the northern end of the parks meet at the Hiouchi Information Center, one mile west of Hiouchi off Highway 199.
