Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Zero Waste Community Input Coffee

When: Thu., May 12, 5:30 p.m. 2016

How can Arcata become a Zero Waste town? More bulk food and cosmetic shopping options? More bring-your-own-container friendly restaurants? Talk trash prevention with us at an upcoming Community Input Coffee for Arcata's Zero Waste Action Plan. Bring your ideas to the D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street, Arcata, on Thursday, May 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. or to the Arcata Community Center Senior Room, 321 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, on Monday, May 16 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. For Arcata to become a Zero Waste town, we need ideas for how to reduce the waste we generate and improve our current recycling and composting methods. We also need private individuals and businesses, community groups, and city government to help make going Zero Waste an Arcatan’s proud responsibility. Can’t make it to a coffee chat? Email your Zero Waste Action Plan ideas to eservic[email protected] or [email protected].
