200+ varieties of local, wild mushrooms on display. Experts will be on hand to help with identification, and festival goers are encouraged to bring in their own mushroom specimens for possible ID. Vendors will be selling all manner of fungi-related products, including fresh and dehydrated wild and cultivated edible mushrooms; mushroom-themed art and jewelry; field guides, identification manuals, and cookbooks about mushrooms; mushroom prints, posters, and clothing; even a local micro-brew that features mushrooms. Food trucks will also be on hand to feed the crowds that are expected. Regional experts, along with knowledgeable members of the Wild Rivers Mushroom Club, will be leading mushroom identification hikes. Multiple hikes are scheduled each day, and a small fee is charged for each hike. Tickets will either be available in advance via the website, or at the door during the festival, depending on the hike - more information will be available at www.wildriversmushroomfestival.com.
