The American Association of University Women - Humboldt will be honoring local residents JoAnn Schuch and Kay Escarda at its celebration of Women’s History Month on March 5. They are being honored for the contributions they have made to Humboldt County. JoAnn Schuch has been instrumental in changing the experience of aging in Humboldt County for the better and Kay Escarda is a tireless civic volunteer with wide-ranging contributions on housing, voting, and educational issues.
