Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Arts Arcata! Photographic Exhibit, Where There's a Fire

When: Fri., April 12, 6-9 p.m. 2019

Friends of Arcata Library will host Arts Arcata! and photographer Stuart Moskowitz at his photographic exhibit, 'Where There's a Fire . . .' View firefighting photographs taken and exhibited in galleries throughout California in the 1980's that depict the lives of firefighting crews who stay together 24 hours a day, eat together, travel together, and sleep together. As crew leader, Moskowitz's job was to watch his crew. It put him in the perfect position to capture, through the lens of his camera, the camaraderie and the dance that happens when working with a twenty-person crew.

Price: Free, but donations are appreciated to support the purchase of library materials.
