Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

BioBlitz and Restoration

When: Sat., May 26, 9:30-11:30 a.m. 2018

Join Friends of the Dunes in a smartphone-powered BioBlitz, an intensive one-day study of biodiversity in a specific location. In this case, participants will collect citizen science data using the iNaturalist app. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Bring your fully charged smartphone with the iNaturalist app already downloaded, and tons of enthusiasm. We’ll rally some folks who know the area and together we’ll do some citizen science and restoration! Meet at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Lane in Manila. For more information, please contact Friends of the Dunes at (707) 444-1397 or info@friendsofthedunes.org. To learn more about BioBlitz's, please visit iNaturalist.org.
