Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Birds & Bees Educational Series - Fungi of Humboldt County

When: Sat., Oct. 27, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2018

Join Carolyn Delevich as she presents on mushrooms. Carolyn is a graduate student studying mycology at Humboldt State University. In this mini-course, Carolyn will share the basics of mushroom collection and identification. Humboldt County is a hotspot for fungal diversity, and late fall to winter is the perfect time to hone in on mushroom identifying techniques. Through diagrams, mushroom collections, field guides, and a walk-about of the botanical gardens, attendees will gain a new appreciation and awareness of the fungal world around them.
