Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Book Launch Party

When: Sat., Oct. 1, 4-7 p.m. 2022

Two local authors are celebrating the release of their novels at Septentrio Winery. While both novels were published in 2020, the pandemic postponed any recognition of the release and, ironically, made the focus of each novel even more relevant today. Lelia Moskowitz’ Growland is an historical testament to the illicit marijuana-growing culture of Southern Humboldt while Kathy Wollenberg’s Far Less is a coming-of-age story about a homeless teen living in the Community Forest. Far Less is the recipient of two Silver Nautilus Awards, a Gold Forward Indies Award, and most recently, a Bronze and Gold CIPPA EVVY Award.
