When: Sat., Feb. 5, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. 2022
Looking for ways to give back to the lands you love? Join volunteers at Bruno Groth Grove for our first Stewardship Work Day of the year on Saturday February 5th from 9:30-Noon. Meet at the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust office at 380 Janis Ct, Trinidad, CA 95570, and we will walk from there. The Bruno Groth Redwood Grove is a beautiful 1.5 acre redwood forest property owned by the Land Trust, located along Scenic Drive just south of Trinidad. This redwood grove property was donated by local resident and Land Trust founder Dr. Herman Iverson, in memory of his friend, neighbor and famous artist Mr. Bruno Groth. The property is currently without a formal trail and is bordered by two small but steep tributary creeks of Parker Creek. Stewardship Volunteers work to protect native plant communities and preserve public access to Trinidad's astounding coastline. TCLT is dependent on, and incredibly thankful for, the hard work of volunteer stewards to restore native plant communities, maintain public trails, keep beaches clean of litter, and educate the community. To sign up as a Stewardship Volunteer and to receive more information about this event, email firstname.lastname@example.org, and stay tuned on our web calendar for the upcoming Spring Stewardship Schedule. This event will be COVID safe, with physical distancing of 6ft maintained and masks worn.
