Butterfly House Opening

When: Sat., July 1, 12-4 p.m. 2017

Learn about butterfly habitat and the plants they love. See every stage of a butterfly life cycle from egg to butterfly. Local butterflies and caterpillars, such as painted ladies, red admirals, western swallowtails and monarchs will inhabit the butterfly house this summer. Currently the house has Western Tiger Swallowtail and Red Admiral butterflies and many caterpillars feeding on stinging nettle. In a few short weeks the house will be filled with active butterflies. In addition, there will be butterfly nectar plants for sale and educational information available. Each child will receive a free gift while supplies last.

Price: $8.00 per person, children 6-17, seniors and active military is $5.00, children under 6 and members are always free. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 for the butterfly house.
