Join Director Katie from the Clarke Historical Museum in exploring the legacy of Eureka's historic Chinatown. This presentation takes viewers on a virtual "tour" of the historic site of Eureka's Chinatown to better understand why Chinese residents came to Eureka in the mid 1800s, the role they played in the community, the importance of Chinatown, the context for the removal of the Chinese residents in 1885, and the legacy that this forced removal continues to have.
