Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Lecture

"Chasing the Devil"

When: Fri., Oct. 11, 7:30 p.m. 2013

Redwood Region Audubon Society is sponsoring this presentation by internationally-known biologist Adam Brown, who has spent much of the last three years in the Caribbean searching for the enigmatic Black-capped Petrel. Known as the Diablotin (little devil), this is one of the rarest seabirds in the world. As par of an expedition led by Environmental Protection in the Caribbean, Adam helped locate some of the first Black-capped Petrel colonies ever recorded. Come hear Adam describe this conservation effort and its recent successes, and learn more about this elusive seabird. Bring a mug to enjoy shade-grown coffee and come fragrance free.
