Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Christmas Bird Count Brush-Up

When: Fri., Dec. 12, 6:30-9 p.m. 2014

Do you despise discerning among diving ducks? Feel bewitched by winter dowitchers? Want to groan about gull plumages? Care to spiff up those sparrow IDs? Come to Redwood Region Audubon Society's (RRAS's) annual potluck and bird ID workshop. Rob Fowler, RRAS field trip coordinator and owner of Fowlerope Birding Tours, will review confusing and difficult identifications often encountered during the Christmas Bird Count season. Bring a dish to share and a mug for shade grown coffee; RRAS will provide drinks, plates and utensils. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7:30 p.m. Please come fragrance free.
