Conservation Lecture: Cheetahs in Kenya

A lecture focusing on understanding range-wide cheetah occupancy and gene flow in Kenya by Mary Wykstra of Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. Action for Cheetahs in Kenya works with local people to survey and map cheetah populations using Kenyan rangers, village engagement, and even scat-detection dogs to determine how cheetah populations use the fragmented habitat in this country. The results of this work that help create, effective conservation programs to areas where they are most needed. Conservation crafts will be sold prior to the lecture.
