When: Tue., Nov. 5, 6:30 p.m. 2013
In observance of Native American Heritage Month, the Humboldt County Library partners with the U.S. Forest Service in presenting the third annual Native American film series, every Tuesday in November. Each film will address the Native American experience, and/or illustrate the way Native Americans have been perceived and depicted in film. Mike Turek, Tribal Relations Specialist for Six Rivers National Forest, will host each screening. The series kicks off with Devil's Doorway (1950), directed by Anthony Mann, which was one of the first Westerns depicting a realistic story of how the west was really won.
