To many the subject of death is considered tragic, unpleasant, or macabre. The Mexican cultural celebration Dia de los Muertos, uses humor to integrate death as a necessary part of life. During Arts Alive November 7th, the Ink People Center for the Arts celebrates their 13th Dia de los Muertos, with an open community altar space and art show. Individual family altars, contemporary art pieces inspired by the beauty of Dia de los Muertos imagery, and crafts for children will be in the Brenda Tuxford Gallery. Outside, a presentation of cultural dancing will be held in the Romano Gabriel courtyard.
