The Eureka Woman’s Club AfterWork Network is hosting a talk on June 21, 5:30 pm, at the EWC clubhouse, 1531 J St, Eureka. Join us on June 21, 5:30 to 7:00 pm, to learn about Dining for Women, a global giving circle that funds grassroots projects to help eradicate poverty among women and girls and transform lives. Melinda served in the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa in the early 1990’s as an Environmental Education / National Parks Volunteer. She has maintained interest and commitment to supporting underserved communities around the globe ever since. Melinda learned about Dining for Women in 2013 and founded the Arcata DFW Chapter for three core reasons: to stay educated about the plight of women and girls in extreme poverty around the world, to directly support the global work of DFW, and to build a community of local caring women. The EWC AfterWork Network meets monthly at the Eureka Woman’s Club, 1531 J Street, Eureka, from 5:30 to 7:00. This FREE program is open to the public; talks are geared to help you in your professional and personal life. Bring a snack and/or drink to share, if you like. For more information, call 845-0331.
