Heads up, Humboldt:
While the county's masking mandate has been lifted, Public Health is still strongly recommending masking indoors in public, social distancing and "avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces." COVID-19 is still with us, so be sure to check the protocols at event venues.

Dunes Climate Ready Hike

When: Sat., March 26, 1-3 p.m. 2016

Climate change will have significant impacts along the Humboldt Coast. Understanding coastal processes is key to assessing coastal vulnerability and preparing for the adverse effects of climate change. Learn more about the multi-year Dunes Climate Ready Study on a Dunes Climate Ready Hike. Join investigators for a short walk to view the native beach grass nursery site and to see a demonstration of how topographic and vegetation data are collected to further understanding of coastal dynamics and test adaptation strategies that provide for coastal resilience. Please R.S.V.P. by contacting Friends of the Dunes.
