Eureka Symphony Season Opening Concert

When: Fri., Oct. 6, 8-10 p.m. 2017

The Eureka Symphony under Music Director and Conductor Carol Jacobson inaugurates its new 2017-2018 season with ‘Brilliant Beginnings’. The concert opens with Peter Maxwell Davies’ An Orkney Wedding, with Sunrise that includes a musical surprise. The Masquerade Suite by Aram Khachaturian follows with five different and delightful dance movements. The concert concludes with the famously exhilarating Piano Concert No. 2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff played by HSU’s masterful pianist John Chernoff.
